The Artwork That Welcomed My Daughter Into the World

The moment I learned that my daughter was on the way, an overwhelming sense of love and anticipation washed over me. In that moment, I felt an irresistible urge to create something special. Something that would forever remind me and my fiancée of the incredible day our little sprout entered our world.

The Daisy Design

A daisy seemed like the perfect symbol for this moment. Small, beautiful and sweet. And blooming right in season when she was born!

I approached the daisy design with a touch of my signature doodle style in the leaves. But this time, rather than sticking to the usual black and white, I introduced color. Some warm pink and orange tinged leaves, paired with a bright yellow center, just felt right. Much like my daughter, it brings something new and vibrant into my life.

Honestly, every time I see that smiling daisy, it brings a smile to my face. It’s the perfect sign that I captured the feeling I wanted.

Originally, I created the daisy design for my daughter’s birth announcement card, but as a proud daddy, I just couldn’t stop there. I wanted to make it bigger. So, I turned the daisy into a large painting as well.

More Than Just A Painting

I’m incredibly happy to have created this. It’s more than just another piece of art, it’s something I made for my daughter. One day, she’ll be able to see it and know it was created just for her.

Until then, it hangs in our home, reminding us of the day she arrived.

When I look at it, I see more than just a daisy. I see the months of anticipation. I see the love my fiancée and I poured into preparing for her. I see the beginning of a new chapter. I see the excitement of all the moments yet to come.

This painting is a piece of my heart, hanging on our wall, waiting for her to understand just how much she means to us.
